Axis Bank Magnus Credit Card review

Worth it only for people who regularly put well over ₹1.5 lakh a month on one card and can transfer points to airlines. Lighter spenders will earn little more than an entry card after paying a steep fee.

Fees

₹12,500 a year + GST. Renewal fee waived on ₹25 lakh spend in the previous card year. Forex markup 2%.

Rewards

1 EDGE Reward Point is about ₹0.20 on Travel EDGE, vouchers or cashback; transferring at 5:2 to airline partners can be worth about ₹0.40

  • Fuel: 0%
  • Flights & hotels: 6% – 5X points (60 per ₹200) only on bookings through Axis Travel EDGE, on up to ₹2 lakh a month; direct airline and hotel bookings earn the base rate
  • Bills: 0%
  • Rent: 0%
  • Insurance: 0%
  • Everything else: 1.2%

On a typical spending pattern this card gives back about ₹6,624 a year.

What’s good

  • 35 points per ₹200 (about 3.5% at base value) on monthly spend above ₹1.5 lakh
  • Welcome voucher worth roughly the joining fee
  • Unlimited international and domestic lounge visits
  • Lower 2% foreign-currency markup and no cash withdrawal fee

What’s not

  • Only about 1.2% back on the first ₹1.5 lakh each month at base point value
  • High ₹12,500 fee with a ₹25 lakh waiver threshold
  • Spend milestones were dropped and transfer partners keep changing
  • Domestic lounges need ₹50,000 spend in the previous three months

Lounge access

Domestic: Unlimited, after spending ₹50,000 in the previous 3 months; from 28 Aug 2026 entry is with the Magnus card, not Priority Pass. International: Unlimited through Priority Pass, plus 4 guest visits a year.
