IDFC FIRST Millennia Credit Card review
A good free card for young earners who eat out, order food and travel or shop abroad, since those spends earn about 1.25% and there is no forex markup. For general shopping and bills its return is low, so pair it with a stronger everyday card.

- Swiggy & Zomato: 1.25% – 10X, as food delivery falls under the dining merchant codes
- Dining out: 1.25% – 10X (10 points per ₹200) on restaurants from the first rupee
- Fuel: 0% – No points on fuel
- Flights & hotels: 1.25% – 10X on airlines, hotels and travel agents; extra 20% bonus points on hotels and 10% on flights booked in the IDFC FIRST app
- Bills: 0.13% – 1X (1 point per ₹200)
- Rent: 0.38% – Earns 3X, but a 1% fee (minimum ₹249) applies to rent payments
- Insurance: 0.13% – 1X (1 point per ₹200)
- UPI with a credit card: 0.13% – Only with the FIRST Digital RuPay add-on: 1X on UPI payments up to ₹2,000 and 3X above that
- Foreign currency: 1.25% – 10X on spending at international merchants, with no forex markup
- Everything else: 0.375%
On a typical spending pattern this card gives back about ₹2,475 a year.
What’s good
- No joining or annual fee, ever, with no spend condition

- Everyday spending earns only about 0.375% back
- Points now expire after 24 months, and each redemption costs ₹99 plus GST
- Bills and insurance earn just 1X; fuel, EMIs and cash earn nothing
- 1% fees on rent, app-based education payments and heavy FASTag or railway use
Lounge access
Domestic: No airport lounges; 4 railway lounge visits a quarter, unlocked by spending ₹20,000 in the previous calendar month. International: None.
